Guided tours of the Cathedral. There will be timed ticketed tours of the tower and timed ticketed demonstrations of bell ringing and the bell chamber. Information leaflets will be available. The St Nicholas education Centre will host a display of St Nicholas Icons and Positive Voices, the Anne Frank exhibition will be in the Cathedral. Examples of Cathedral Silver ware will be displayed.

Opening Days and Times:

Thursday 08/09/2011 0900 - 1730
Friday 09/09/2011 0900- 1700; tower tours 1010, 1145, 1410 & 1615; Cathedral tours 1030, 1210 & 1430
Saturday 10/09/2011 0900 - 1700; tower tours 1010, 1210; Cathedral tours 1030 & 1430
Sunday 11/09/2011 1200 - 1700; tower tours 1230, 1415; Cathedral tours 1230 & 1415

Booking Information:

Pre-booking required. - No need to book for Cathedral tours. For tours of the Cathedral Tower and Bell Tour, timed tickets will be available at the Cathedral on the day only.
Limited capacity. - Max 20 people per tower tour.

Transport Information:

METRO - Central Station. BUS - there are Quayside buses passing nearby.

Directions:

The Cathedral is situated on Mosley Street, at the bottom of the Bigg Market. Guided tours will start at the font, near the West Doors.

Accessibility:

Disabled Toilets available.
It is advisable that tower tour participants are in good general health. The stairs are steep, and if you suffer from asthma or respiratory difficulties, any heart condition or vertigo you are advised not to climb the tower. Please note that if the weather is bad, you will not be able to go right out onto the tower roof.
