A free photo exhibition of vintage photos showing how Houghton-le-Spring used to look in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Pop into the Old Bank bistro and feel free to have a look around. You can also find out about the history of the building, which originated as a branch of the North-Eastern Banking Company in the mid 1800s!

Houghton is served by express buses from all the big northeast cities - Sunderland, Durham and Newcastle.
The Old Bank is located at the top of the Sunderland Street cul-de-sac, around the corner from the White Lion public house.
There are a few small steps within the Old Bank. Please park in one of the Houghton town centre car parks.
